Botox is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment that temporarily relaxes facial muscles to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. It works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles, which helps to soften the appearance of dynamic wrinkles caused by repetitive facial expressions.

You may start to see results within 3 to 5 days after your treatment, with full effects visible within 10 to 14 days. The results usually last for about 3 to 4 months, but this can vary based on individual factors such as metabolism and muscle activity.

Common treatment areas include forehead lines, frown lines (between the eyebrows), crow’s feet (around the eyes), and sometimes lines around the mouth and chin. Botox can also be used for medical purposes, such as treating excessive sweating, migraines, and muscle spasms.

Side effects are usually mild and temporary, including slight redness, bruising, or swelling at the injection site. Serious side effects are rare but can include muscle weakness or drooping if Botox is administered incorrectly. Botox is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain neuromuscular conditions, or have allergies to any of the ingredients in Botox.
